PAI-295 is INTA's new manned Aerial Platform for Research (PAI) that is modified and equipped with the appropriate instrumentation, sensors and equipment to collect data from the atmosphere for the development of scientific and technological research projects, as environmental studies, both at national level and in collaboration with international organizations.
On May 9, 2024, tests were carried out with the aforementioned aerial platform for research that flew over CIAR airspace. This flight allowed for observing the performance of telemetry reception at different distances and heights. The purpose was to obtain a coverage analysis for the reception of data from the ground. This analysis makes possible the definition of an air volume to guarantee a good quality in data reception.
These tests represented a necessary first contact for carrying out future flight campaigns.
