EH216

On 3rd October 2022, EHang, a leader company in Autonomous Aerospace Vehicles (AAV), conducted an important campaign of demonstration flights with their aerotaxi EH216 at the CIAR premises.

These flights, framed in the AMU-LED international project (Air Mobility Urban - Large Experimental Demonstration) of the European Union SESAR JU, allowed to verify and validate Operation Concepts ("ConOps") of Urban Air Mobility ("UAM") and U-space systems, in an unprecedented large-scale demonstration in Europe.

EH216 is an electric vertical takeoff and landing autonomous aerospace vehicle (eVTOL), which is intended for both passenger and freight transportation. EH216 has a Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) of 600 kg, an endurance of 30 km and it can reach speeds of up to 130 km/h.
