The EU-funded Labyrinth project is working on the development of UTM Path Planning technology for drone swarms to improve safer, more efficient, and sustainable transport. The project fulfills the SESAR strategy by developing an autonomous air traffic control system for the integration of drones in European airspace.
The goal is to lead to applications in road, airport, seaport, and emergency situations related to urban mass gathering scenarios, capable of revolutionising civil transport and accelerating regulatory changes to enable their deployment in real-life situations in all EU countries.
