The CPESS 6th ("Ciencias Planetarias y Exploración del Sistema Solar", by its Spanish acronym) meeting will be held at “Instituto Nacional de Técnica Aeroespacial” (INTA) campus, located at Torrejón de Ardoz, on May 27th, 28th and 29th, 2019.
As in previous events, the goal of the meeting is to show the scientific and technological activities that are being performed in the field of planetary science, from the bodies of our own solar system to exoplanets. In this last issue, the interest is particularly focused on those works related to the study of the planet itself. The space instrumentation developed for this purpose will be also addressed.
Portuguese planetary society is nicely invited to participate in this meeting, with the aim to share the last cutting-edge scientific and technological insights in this scope, as well as to define future possible collaborations.
The scientific committee and the local organization want to encourage also to the amateur researchers to participate. The international nature and the interesting contributions coming from this community will strongly enrich the program, increasing not only the accessibility but the visual impact of the meeting.
The different areas that will be covered are shown in detail in the program, while the logistic information can be found at the poster of the event.
After registering, if you do not receive a confirmation email, please send us your information to cpess6@inta.es.
Works presented at the meeting will be sent in two phases:
Contributions must be written in English and will be compiled in a publication with access from the Astrophysics Data System (ADS). Oral presentations can be presented in English or Spanish. For those who cannot attend the meeting, it is allowed the contribution For Print Only (FPO).
Due to the limited capacity, registration is required by May 10th.
The PSSSE6 final program will be available in this web. The meeting will begin with an official welcome from INTA and “Centro de Astrobiología” (CAB) general directors, followed by two invited talks imparted by the National Manager of the R+D State Plan of the Space Area and the Head of the Science and Exploration Programs of the CDTI Aerospace Programs Department. After, it will be held the scientific and technological sessions. Poster sessions will be combined with coffee breaks.
INTA is located near Torrejón de Ardoz, between Alcalá de Henares and Madrid, few kilometers far from Adolfo Suárez airport and Torrejón de Ardoz train station (more information here).
