El pasado 26 de octubre tuvo lugar en las instalaciones del CEHIPAR la presentación de resultados del proyecto WIND2GRID, que se centra en la investigación y desarrollo de tecnologías, componentes y sistemas para subestaciones offshore.
El INTA ha llevado a Navalia una maqueta del modelo hidrodinámico de la fragata F-100.
El INTA, a través de la Subdirección General de Sistemas Navales, está participando activamente en el proyecto para retomar los vuelos de pasajeros con hidroaviones en España de la mano de la compañía canaria SURCAR Airlines. Esta Subdirección es la encargada de realizar los estudios de viabilidad técnica relacionados con el empleo de hidroaviones en los puertos de Santa Cruz de Tenerife y Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

On July 3, 2019 was held at the facilities of the Deputy General Directorate for Naval Systems (CEHIPAR) the coordination meeting of distributed infrastructure MARHIS, which is part of El Pardo Campus of INTA (CEHIPAR) together with other entities of recognized prestige: Cantabrian Hydraulic Institute, Maritime Engineering Laboratory of the UPC, Biscay Marine Energy Platform (BiMEP) and the Oceanic Platform of the Canary Islands (PLOCAN), also attended by José Ignacio Doncel Morales as representative of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities (MICIU).
From July 3 to 5, 2019, the National Congress of Composite Materials MATCOMP'19 was held in the city of Vigo. Industrial Engineer Ph.D. Malte Frövel (Head of Area of Composite Materials) and Industrial Engineer Manuel González-Gallego (El Pardo Campus) attended the Congress in representation of INTA.
On April 3, 2019, the Working Group on WIGs submitted in Las Palmas the proposed regulation on WIGs to the Vice President and Minister of Public Works and Transport of the Canary Islands Government, Pablo Rodríguez, and the General Director of the Merchant Navy, Benito Núñez.
Since November 2017, the Spanish General Directorate of the Merchant Navy (DGMM), the Deputy General Directorate of Naval Systems of INTA, an adviser who was a high-level officer of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the company CIWIGS, have been part of the working group on WIGs.
Last Friday February 15 the company Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence carried out a technical conference, at the facilities of INTA in El Pardo, to check the capacity of its latest technologies for high precision scanning of large volumes.
Tests of the small-scale floating wind platform "CHEF Turbine" (Compact Holistic Efficient Floating Turbine) were completed last December in the Ship Dynamics Laboratory of INTA´s El Pardo Campus.

On November 28, INTA SGSN was informed of the approval of the ICTS (Singular Scientific and Technical Installations) map 2017-2020. The Council for Scientific and Technological Policy and Innovation (CPTCI) updated and approved the map last November 6. INTA SGSN was incorporated to the ICTS map 2017-2020 with the name ICTS-CEHIPAR within the MARHIS network.

INTA team participated last 7th , 8th and 9th October 2018 in the 39th edition of the Ariane regatta, held in Trogir (Croatia), and won a meritorious 2nd place among the 23 boats in its class (class IV).
The Vice Admiral E. L. Cochrane Award is granted by SNAME (Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers) to the best peer-reviewed paper published by SNAME. Adolfo Marón Loureiro, Head of the Experimental Hydrodynamics Area at "El Pardo Campus" of INTA, is the winner of this prestigious international award with the paper "Experimental Studies on Seakeeping and Maneuverability of Ships in Adverse Weather Conditions".
A small-scale tidal current turbine demonstrator, developed by Spanish Seaplace and UK's Magnomatics, has been tested at the facilities of INTA in El Pardo. The turbine achieved one third mode efficiency during testing than previously predicted.
