The Detectability and Electronic Warfare Laboratory is equipped with an anechoic chamber for electromagnetic tests that supports its activities and research projects. The dimensions are 3 x 7 x 3 m and the floor, walls and ceiling are covered with absorbing material. It works from 1 to 40 GHz.
This facility has been recently transformed to include a novel spherical bi-static system that increases the measurement capabilities: BIANCHA (Bistatic Anechoic Chamber). This new system can work from 5.5 to 26.5 GHz and has been devised in such a way that any bi-static angle can be established between the centre of an imaginary hemisphere and two probes, held by two independent arms.
